He entered JLAU in 2001 to study Environmental Science, during the undergraduate years, he join project of influence of Thermodynamics and kinetics of sorption of Cu (II) onto Goethite in Copper Nitrate Solution, which lead he to the scientific world, from that time, he discovered his fascination for geochemistry.
During his postgraduate studies at CAS-IAE in Shenyang, he developed a special interest in soil-plant interactions, especially for the so called state-of-the-art method of Synchrotron radiation based technology, and he employed the SR-XANES AND SR-XRF trying to reveal the mysterious veil of the mechanism for the Cd-hyperaccumulator.
After graduating in 2008, he decided to join Phytoremediation program of SYSU in Guangzhou, the main research topic was developing various methods (such as physical, chemical, biological) to remediate Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) polluted soil.
Two years later, he moved to HKUST as a research assistant, there he started a totally new topic-influence of Carbon based nano-materials on the biokinetic of trace metal for aquatic animal.
Fortunately, at the beginning of 2011 he obtain info about opening position for PhD in Department of Hydrology, University of Bayreuth, he decided to join the program which focus on the mechanism of Iron, Sulfur and OM redox processes the aquatic system, now he come back to the biogeochemical topic, just be willing to follow his initial interest during his undergraduate study.
